ALL ABOUT AL TAVOLO

ALL ABOUT AL TAVOLO

What is Al Tavolo?

Al Tavolo(at the table) is more than a workshop — it’s an experience centered around creativity, connection, and craftsmanship. In this intimate, beginner-friendly class, you’ll gather at the table to design and sculpt your own piece of fine jewelry in a relaxed and welcoming setting. Over the course of two hours, you’ll receive guided, hands-on instruction while enjoying drinks and homemade pastries. Whether you choose sterling silver ($165) or golden bronze ($115), you’ll have full creative freedom to design and shape a pendant, that reflect your personal style.

No experience is needed — just come as you are and enjoy the process.

What’s Included
• 2-hour guided workshop
• 10 grams of sterling silver or bronze metal clay
• All tools and materials provided
• Professional demonstration and assistance throughout
• Drinks and homemade pastries

You’ll design and sculpt your piece during class, and I will professionally fire and polish it. Your finished jewelry will be ready for pickup or shipping within one week.

Slow down. Create with intention. Leave with something entirely your own.

The heart of this class comes from my earliest memories of creating with my hands. Every Christmas, the women in my family would gather at the table to make traditional Italian recipes passed down through generations. At the time, I didn’t realize it, but those simple, sacred moments were quietly shaping who I would one day become.

Gathering at a table—making art, in the form of food, surrounded by the people I love—left lasting impressions and deep roots within me. The laughter, the conversations, the creativity, the beauty of crafting something together by hand—that spirit is the inspiration for this class.

As I invite you to gather al tavolo and explore the wonderful medium of metal clay, my intention is that this table becomes more than a workspace. I hope it becomes a space of connection, creativity, and community—where we make not only jewelry, but meaningful moments that extend far beyond the table.

Who is teaching ?

Hi, I’m Madeline Elizabeth, a metal clay jewelry designer trained in Florence, Italy and a lifelong lover of art and creating. I discovered metal clay just over a year ago and quickly fell in love with its endless creative possibilities. Teaching workshops has become my favorite part of what I do — creating curated spaces where people can come together, inspire one another, and experience the joy of making by hand.

I can’t wait to share this beautiful medium with you and create something meaningful together.

FAQs

  • Metal clay is a sculptable material made from recycled fine metak particles mixed with an organic binder and water. You shape it like clay — and after firing, it becomes solid metal.

  • This class is perfect for beginners and experienced artists alike. Whether it’s your first time creating or you’re exploring a new creative outlet, you’ll receive guidance exactly where you need it — as much or as little as you want.

  • Not quite — but for a good reason! After class, I carefully refine, kiln-fire, polish, and assemble your piece into a finished necklace. Then it’s beautifully packaged and ready for you to pick up or be shipped to you within a week.

  • Classes are intentionally small to keep the experience intimate, relaxed, and hands-on. I truly value your time and appreciate your choice to join my class, and I want to give each student my full attention, guidance, and connection — ensuring you leave with not just a piece of jewelry, but a meaningful experience and lasting memories.

  • Yes, absolutely! With complete creative freedom, you can take this class as many times as you like. Bring friends, try new ideas, experiment with different metals, and continue to expand your skills — each class is a chance to create something entirely new and meaningful.

  • Wear comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting a little creative in.

Just bring yourself! If you have inspiration, textures, or special items you’d like to incorporate into your piece, feel free to bring those along too.

  • I’m sorry to hear that you need to cancel! Cancellations must be made at least 3 days before your class due to limited spots. Please email me at madelineelizabethjewelry@gmail.com to request a cancellation. Your payment will be rolled over to another class, ensuring you can join a future session, while keeping your spot available for someone else.

THE FAMILY ALBUM

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING…

“I’ve done plenty of other DIY crafts that end up forgotten on a shelf—but this class was different. I made a proper, 100% sterling silver piece of jewelry, with my own two hands, that I actually love. I left feeling like a sparkly little metalsmith and now I have a forever piece of jewelry I’m proud to show off. Thank you Madeline Elizabeth for making such a unique and treasured experience ”

“ It was incredible. So much more than I expected! An experience I’ll never forget and can’t wait for the next class.”

“It was AMAZING!! I can’t wait until your next class!”

“I had the absolute joy of attending my first Al Tavolo Metal Clay class, and I couldn’t be—or more impressed. From start to finish, Madeline created an experience that was both inspiring and accessible for all of us who had never worked with metal clay before.

Her passion for the craft came through in every detail, from the thoughtful setup to the way she explained each step with clarity and patience. She made everyone feel comfortable exploring their creativity, regardless of skill level. The materials were high quality, and she guided us through the process of transforming a bit of clay into a beautiful piece of solid silver jewelry.

What stood out most was the joy she brought into the room. Her energy was contagious, and her encouragement gave everyone the confidence to experiment and create something meaningful. By the end of the class, not only did we walk away with a finished piece we were proud of—we also left feeling inspired and empowered.

This was more than just a jewelry class; it was an experience of creativity, connection, and personal expression. I can’t wait to see where she takes this next. If you get the chance to join her in a future workshop, do it. You won’t regret it. ”

“I really liked the class. The instructions were efficient and well-delivered. Maddie is so good at teaching and helping and of course knows what she is doing with jewelry. Super fun class, great to do with friends. Thanks Maddie! :)”

“A wonderful class. Maddie is extremely knowledgeable, very helpful. A great night of fun”

“Taking this class with Maddie was such a treat. She is so thorough when explaining and patient with all my questions. I had so much fun trying something I’ve never done and cannot wait to see my finished piece ! Thank you Maddie for welcoming me into your creative space and making it so much fun!!!!!”

I took a metal clay class with Madeline, and it exceeded my expectations. She is a patient, skilled instructor, and my pendents came out great. The vibe was warm, fun, and she supplied homemade refreshments (made with her mom and grandmother)! I would recommend her class to anyone wanting to learn about this medium.
