My journey with jewelry began in 2019. I vividly remember the moment I made my first piece of jewelry. It was a sunny summer day and I had nothing to do, so of course, being me, I found something to create,… Taking a battery powered engraver and a piece of blue sea glass, I played around until somehow hours later an engraved pendant came to be. With a growing passion for art, and an unavoidable desire to be an entrepreneur, this spontaneous art project evolved into my first jewelry brand, Cross tides Jewelry. As years passed, and my faith in God grew stronger, and I felt the urgency to redirect my brand from sea glass jewelry to a faith centered brand. Without education or much experience in jewelry making I began to outsource pendants, materials, and findings; to design and piece together faith focused jewelry.

Upon graduating from Montclair State University with a degree in Marketing, I was left with a choice to work in the marketing field or follow my passion in jewelry design. I strongly felt the push of the Lord to step out in faith and attend The Instituto Lorenzo de Medici in Florence, Italy. And that is exactly what I did! After my two years of studies, I received a professional certificate in jewelry design and making. 

It wasn’t until the final semester of my program, where I discovered my design style, and more importantly my purpose in a world between faith and adornment, that I somehow found myself in. Working with the ancient lost-wax method, I fell in love with sculpting. Leaning into my inclination of designing based on Scripture, I found that I simply couldn’t stop creating… Returning home to New Jersey, I discovered metal clay, and for the past year I have been learning and experimenting with this incredible medium, that compliments my design style and allows me to personally craft jewelry from first design to final polish from my studio. 

With my current brand, Madeline Elizabeth Jewelry, I create your jewelry using the metal clay process, working with timeless materials of sterling silver, lab rubies/ sapphires and natural pearls. Everything that I design is a reflection of devotion and time spent with the Lord, and every purchase of my design is carefully and passionately made to order. My hope and goal is to continue to discover and refine my God given gifts of transforming the holy words of Scripture into art that Christ followers can wear, feel connected to, and use to share the love of God with others.
