The design is layered with symbolism; the outer rays as a depiction of Jesus as ‘the radiance of the glory of God’, the finger print texture in the center as Jesus is ‘the exact imprint of the nature of God’ the inscribed words from this verse as a reminder that ‘by the power of His word He upholds the world’, and the red ruby as His blood shed for the purification of our sins, to Him who is now seated on His heavenly throne.
