In John 4 we read about an encounter between Jesus and a women at a well. At the time this women was seeking physical water for bodily nourishment, Jesus presented himself as  “Living Water”, that all who are nourished by Him will never thirst again. In both this and in revealing a Divine quality of omniscience, to her, she then ran back home to share about Jesus to any and all she could…. Leaving her jar at the well she then, in a symbolic way, became a jar of herself, holding the Living Water of Jesus, and what flowed from her were words of witness to Jesus! The Bible, in multiple places, describes us humans as jars that can be used for Godly service. Although as broken people “jars”,  God chooses to commune with and use us as vessels to hold his Spirit, and to be witnesses of Him to all.
