This ring is inspired by Matthew chapter 6 verses 26 to 29, which talk about the birds in the air that the Lord feeds them and the lilies in the field that he dresses them in such beauty, and asks us how much more value are we to God than these things. It tells us to not be anxious about the food that we eat or the clothes that we wear or even about tomorrow. Another verse I love so much is from Psalm 139. It tells us that the Lord knows every day that was formed for us before there was even one and He cares so much about our physical needs, but He also cares so much more about our spiritual needs that He sent His only begotten Son to die a death that He didn't deserve so that we could have the forgiveness of our sins and spend eternity with God. And so this ring is so important for me and I pray that the people wearing this would have the same reminder as I do every time I look at it while I'm wearing it, which is to take a deep breath and remember the sovereign and loving God that we serve.
