What has specifically inspired me to create this piece of jewelry, is how in Psalm 23 we read of a Shepard who cares for His sheep. I read a book once called, A Shepard’s Look at Psalm 23, that depicted the benefits oil has on sheep. In summary, oil was poured out for protection, prevention, and healing from all kinds of harm. As sheep to the Good Shepard we too are ones looked after and cared for with continuous pouring out of The Holy Spirit. We are covered, protected, strengthened, encouraged, and indwelled with the presence of God.
